Merger and acquisition activity is heating up in Canada, which has put a spotlight on the growing disparities between the U.S. and Canadian cannabis industries.

A limited number of medical marijuana producers in Canada, combined with rising patient counts, growing MMJ sales and impending federal legalization of adult use, have enabled the country’s licensed cannabis companies to grow much larger than their U.S. counterparts.
