Massachusetts has finalized its Cannabis Control Commission (CCC), and four of the appointees to the five-member panel voted against recreational marijuana legalization.
Britte McBride, a former assistant state attorney general, and Kay Doyle, deputy general counsel at the Massachusetts Department of Public, were appointed to the CCC on Friday, and both voted against the adult-use measure, according to MassLive.com.
McBride was appointed by Democratic Attorney General Maura Healey; Doyle was one of two mutually agreed appointees chosen by Healey, Republican Gov. Charlie Baker and Democratic Treasurer Deb Goldberg.
