\n<\/span>Senate leaders agreed to remove language to ban hemp products from appropriations legislation in response to Sen. Rand Paul\u2019s (R-KY) threat to block the large-scale spending measure<\/span><\/a> over his concern the provision would \u201cdestroy\u201d farmers in his state.<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>Attorney General Pam Bondi filed a proposed rule on restoration of gun rights for people disarmed under federal law that says certain applicants, including marijuana consumers, would be ineligible for relief<\/span><\/a> because they have \u201ca lack of respect for the law and potential dangerousness.\u201d<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>Food and Drug Administration Commissioner Marty Makary said he has \u201cserious concerns about people using these cannabis products\u201d<\/span><\/a>\u2014arguing that \u201ccannabis use disorder is a real thing, and\u2026there are now studies linking it to psychosis and even cardiovascular problems.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
