And <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marijuanamoment.net\/attorney-general-formally-moves-to-reschedule-marijuana-but-dea-signals-resistance-despite-doj-legal-review\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Attorney General Merrick Garland has now initiated the formal rulemaking process<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Rescheduling marijuana wouldn\u2019t federally legalize it\u2014a point that certain advocates are quick to point out, especially in light of Biden\u2019s 2020 campaign pledge to decriminalize cannabis.
