\n<\/span>President Joe Biden\u2019s reelection campaign said in an email that \u201cTrump and his administration took marijuana reform backwards<\/span><\/a>, withdrawing guidelines to limit prosecutions of marijuana offenses that were legal under state laws\u201d\u2014even though the current administration hasn\u2019t reinstated the enforcement guidance.<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>Congressional leaders have decided not to pursue enacting marijuana banking legislation by attaching it to a must-pass aviation bill<\/span><\/a>\u2014though they are assessing other vehicles for the reform\u2014according to the U.S. Cannabis Council.<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham (D) said in a leaked audio recording that she was \u201coffended\u201d when Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas<\/span><\/a> reacted to her concern about Customs and Border Protection agents seizing marijuana products from licensed businesses in her state by saying, \u201cWho cares? They make a lot of money.\u201d<\/span>

\n<\/span>Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) criticized cities that are moving to enact local marijuana decriminalization policies such as the proposal on Lubbock\u2019s May 4 ballot<\/span><\/a>\u2014saying it will lead to \u201cchaos\u201d as municipalities \u201cpick and choose\u201d the laws they want to abide by.<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>The New Hampshire Senate Judiciary Committee held a hearing on a House-passed marijuana legalization bill<\/span><\/a>\u2014with the Senate president and other lawmakers pushing for a number of changes, including adding THC limits and removing provisions allowing noncommercial sharing of cannabis.<\/span>

\n<\/span>The Kansas Senate rejected a motion to advance a stalled medical cannabis legalization bill<\/span><\/a> to the floor.<\/span>

\n<\/span>Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra<\/span><\/a> announced that the Biden administration is delaying a proposed rule to ban menthol cigarettes.<\/span>

\n<\/span>Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY)<\/span><\/a> included marijuana banking in a list of legislation he would like to pass this year.<\/span>
