\n<\/span>A <\/span>Puerto Rico senator<\/span><\/a> filed a bill to repeal penalties for marijuana possession in the U.S. territory, inspired by President Joe Biden\u2019s cannabis clemency proclamation.<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>A new poll found that <\/span>69 percent of Maryland voters<\/span><\/a> support the marijuana legalization referendum on the November ballot\u2014and that the cannabis question makes people more likely to vote, especially Black voters and those under 40.<\/span>

Democratic challenger Theresa Livingston said decriminalization would be a \u201cgood thing.\u201d<\/span>

\n<\/span>Arkansas<\/span><\/a> Gov. Asas Hutchinson (R), a former Drug Enforcement Administration head, said President Joe Biden\u2019s review of marijuana\u2019s scheduling status is \u201cmisguided.\u201d<\/span>

\n<\/span>Pennsylvania<\/span><\/a> Gov. Tom Wolf (D) spoke about efforts to legalize marijuana and grant pardons to people with past convictions.<\/span>

If elected governor, I will conduct a review to determine the safest and most appropriate outcome for those incarcerated in Hawaii for misdemeanor possession of marijuana.\u201d And he <\/span>tweeted<\/span><\/a>, \u201cI support legalization if we do it responsibly for those over 21, regulate it, and put the tax revenues toward needed programs like mental healthcare and drug rehab, and I also don\u2019t think anyone should have their life ruined over misdemeanor possession of marijuana.\u201d Republican contender Duke Aiona said he would grant marijuana pardons on a case-by-case basis.<\/span>

\n<\/span>Oregon<\/span><\/a> independent gubernatorial candidate Betsy Johnson released a campaign ad attacking Democratic contender Tina Kotek over the state\u2019s voter-approved drug decriminalization law.<\/span>

\n<\/span>Guam\u2019s<\/span><\/a> attorney general tweeted, \u201cI believe in an approach to Guam\u2019s crime problem that is tough AND smart. My opponent\u2019s approach? Mass incarceration.
