Cory Booker (D-NJ)<\/span><\/a> finally filed a long-anticipated federal marijuana legalization bill that contains several significant changes from a draft version they circulated last year.<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>Bipartisan lawmakers\u2014including Sens. Cory Booker (D-NJ) and Rand Paul (R-KY), along with Reps. Earl Blumenauer (D-OR) and Nancy Mace (R-SC)<\/span><\/a>\u2014filed legislation to clarify that terminally ill patients can access marijuana and psychedelics such as psilocybin and MDMA under Right to Try laws despite Drug Enforcement Administration resistance.<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>A <\/span>senior Biden administration official<\/span><\/a> said the U.S. is actively looking into another case of an American citizen being held in Russia over a marijuana-related offense. Though he is also a medical cannabis patient, he hasn\u2019t yet been classified as \u201cwrongfully detained\u201d like American basketball player Brittney Griner has been.<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>The <\/span>Drug Enforcement Administration<\/span><\/a> is being sued for allegedly adopting \u201can unlawful policy and pattern or practice\u201d of unnecessarily delaying Freedom of Information Act requests for documents about marijuana and psychedelics policies.<\/span>
