\n<\/span>Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan (R)<\/span><\/a> is allowing a bill to create a state fund to provide \u201ccost-free\u201d access to psychedelics like psilocybin, MDMA and ketamine for military veterans with PTSD and traumatic brain injury to take effect without his signature.<\/span>

\n<\/span>Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO)<\/span><\/a> accused her primary challenger during a debate of being an \u201cillegal drug dealer\u201d for allegedly growing \u201chot hemp\u201d containing more than the allowable amount of THC.<\/span>

\n<\/span>Former Rep. Denver Riggleman (R-VA)<\/span><\/a> tweeted, \u201cLet\u2019s not go backwards on marijuana criminalization. This is 2022. Maybe legislators are watching Reefer Madness\u2026 I don\u2019t see crazed packs of weed smokers roaming the streets.\u201d<\/span>

\n<\/span>Pennsylvania<\/span><\/a> Democratic gubernatorial candidate Josh Shapiro, currently the attorney general, tweeted, \u201cLook, the majority of Pennsylvanians support legalizing recreational marijuana, and I support boosting the economy \u2014 so I\u2019ll legalize it as Governor. It\u2019s going to bring billions of dollars to Pennsylvania.\u201d<\/span>

\n<\/span>Vermont\u2019s<\/span><\/a> agriculture secretary visited a lab that tests hemp and other products.<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>The <\/span>Oklahoma<\/span><\/a> House speaker cited efforts to combat illegal marijuana grow operations as a top achievement for \u201ccomprehensive conservative policy\u201d this session.<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>Virginia\u2019s<\/span><\/a> Senate president pro tempore tweeted about a new effort to reinstitute criminal penalties for possessing more than four ounces of cannabis in public, saying, \u201cI voted against this before and I am working to stop this latest effort to criminalize marijuana.\u00a0 This is targeted at black and brown people who have been overcharged with these \u2018crimes\u2019 in the past.\u00a0 We do not need to go back to the past with these laws!\u201d<\/span>
