He wants lawyers in the country\u2019s high courts to start donning vegan, hemp-based head coverings instead.<\/p>\n<p>Samuel March first previewed the hemp wigs last year. But he hopes it catches on.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHemp is a notoriously tough material so I do not anticipate there being any issues [with wear and tear], but there is always a risk where you\u2019re the first in the world to try something,\u201d March recently <a href=\"https:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/business\/2022\/02\/17\/barristers-swap-horsehair-hemp-try-first-vegan-court-wigs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">told<\/a> The Telegraph. \u201cMaking them here [in the UK] on this scale and price point means my market is largely limited to vegan barristers, which is a small market\u2014but one that I intend to keep selling to.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hempandhempwigs.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hemp &amp; Hemp<\/a>, the company March founded to supply the cannabis-based headwear, says on its website that it makes \u201cthe world\u2019s first ever plant-based, vegan-friendly wigs for barristers.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Intent to supply\u2026<\/p>\n<p>The world\u2019s first plant-based wig for barristers is now available to order.
