He also reiterated that he\u2019s \u201copen-minded\u201d to allowing a home grow option for consumers in the future.<\/p>\n<p>Gov. Phil Murphy (D) has been under pressure to get the market online since voters <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marijuanamoment.net\/new-jersey-voters-approve-marijuana-legalization-referendum\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">approved a legalization referendum in 2020<\/a> and lawmakers passed implementation legislation that he signed into law last year. In an interview with WGBO that was published Thursday, he said the market will open imminently.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf I had to predict\u2014I\u2019ve said this before, but I mean this literally in this case\u2014I think we\u2019re within weeks,\u201d Murphy said. \u201cI would hope in March that you\u2019re going to see explicit movement on the medical dispensaries, some number of them being able to sell recreational.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>For a dispensary to get that authorization, it will need \u201clocal approvals\u201d and \u201cthey\u2019ve got to prove that they\u2019ve got the supply for their medical customers first and foremost,\u201d the governor said. \u201cAnd then I hope shortly thereafter, the standalone retail adult-use cannabis operations\u201d will move forward.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2014<br \/>\nAre you looking for ways to keep people coming back to your business\u2019s website?
