\n<\/span>The <\/span>North Carolina Senate Judiciary Committee<\/span><\/a> approved a medical cannabis bill. It\u2019s the first time comprehensive medical marijuana legislation has advanced in the state legislature.<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>Austin, Texas activists<\/span><\/a> announced a campaign to put a marijuana decriminalization measure on the November ballot. Their press conference was held next to a statue of local cannabis icon Willie Nelson.<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf (D)<\/span><\/a> signed a medical marijuana expansion bill into law that continues policies enacted during the coronavirus pandemic\u2014such as curbside delivery, telehealth and increased possession limits, among other changes.<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>Harvard Law School<\/span><\/a> launched a new project to \u201cpromote safety, innovation and equity in psychedelics research, commerce and therapeutics.\u201d One of its leaders spoke to Marijuana Moment about how it will engage with the decriminalization movement.<\/span>

\n<\/span>New Mexico<\/span><\/a> Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham (D) sent a press release celebrating mariuana legalization taking effect. She also <\/span>spoke<\/span><\/a> at a cannabis <\/span>conference<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ohio<\/span><\/a> Gov. Mike DeWine (R) issued an executive order that allows college athletes to monetize through sponsorships, but not with marijuana and certain other businesses.<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>Maryland<\/span><\/a> Democratic gubernatorial candidate Doug Gansler, a former state attorney general, tweeted, \u201cYet another state has done the rational, practical, and fiscally responsible thing and legalized cannabis. Maryland should be next.\u201d<\/span>

\n<\/span>Alabama\u2019s<\/span><\/a> lieutenant governor and other top officials made appointments to the Medical Cannabis Commission.<\/span>

\n<\/span>A review concluded that \u201ccannabis was associated with a reduction in overall <\/span>PTSD<\/span><\/a> symptoms and improved [quality of life] but that \u201cdry mouth, headaches, and psychoactive effects such as agitation and euphoria were the commonly reported adverse effects\u201d and that \u201cin most studies, cannabis was well tolerated, but small proportions of patients experienced a worsening of PTSD symptoms.\u201d<\/span>
