The International Cannabis Business Conference (ICBC) is once again bringing the world\u2019s top investors, advocates and entrepreneurs together in the ultimate blend of politics, business and culture.<\/p>\n
The event will focus on the present and future of the Swiss cannabis and hemp market. The conference will kick off with an exclusive VIP party before a day of expert panels commences. This May, ICBC is joining forces with the\u00a0CannaTrade hemp fair<\/a>\u00a0and heading to Switzerland for its inaugural Swiss event. ICBC Zurich will be held at the Atlantis by Giardino Hotel in Zurich, a five-star urban retreat with a spa, a multi-Michelin-star-winning restaurant and unparalleled views of the city.<\/p>\n Dana Rohrabacher<\/a>, the former Republican U.S. congressman from Southern California, is the keynote speaker. Rohrabacher was among the first representatives to support cannabis legalization in Congress and co-founded the Congressional Cannabis Caucus.<\/p>\n Conference ticket holders will also get a free ticket to the CannaTrade hemp fair, the oldest hemp fair in Europe. More than 200\u00a0exhibitors\u00a0<\/a>will set up booths at the fair, including WeedMaps, Pure Holding Inc., SANlight and more.<\/p>\n Alex Rogers, executive producer of ICBC, said the country has flown under the radar in the global cannabis industry, but believes Switzerland is poised to be an industry leader due to the nation\u2019s history \u201cas a pioneer in cannabis and hemp policy reforms.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cNow that the Swiss government has licensed over 600 businesses to sell low-THC, high-CBD cannabis, the local market is starting to boom,\u201d Rogers said in a press release. \u201cThe future is very bright for the Swiss industry, as we can expect the innovative nation to end prohibition and legalize cannabis commerce in the near future.\u201d<\/p>\n In true ICBC fashion, an exclusive after-party will be held at renowned Zurich nightclub Space Monki. The party is sponsored by Bhang, and will feature former member of The Prodigy, DJ Leeroy Thornhill.<\/p>\n The ICBC just held its third consecutive event in\u00a0Berlin<\/a>, where it was reported to be \u201cthe first and biggest business-to-business (B2B) cannabis industry event in Europe, with over 1,200 people from 60 countries in attendance,\u201d according to an ICBC press release.
