The after party is hosted by <a href=\"\/speak-life-damian-marley-confronts-the-cannabis-industrys-new-demons%ef%bb%bf\/\">Damian Marley<\/a>, with music from NYC\u2019s DJ Mad Out.<\/p>\n<p>The Grammy-award winning<br \/>\nmusician and youngest son of Bob Marley will also speak at the event. Other<br \/>\npanel discussions include,\u00a0\u201c\u201cInvestment and Capital Markets,\u201d and<br \/>\n\u201cCannabis Social Clubs.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Spain\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"\/barcelona-outlaw-vistas-spain\/\">cannabis social clubs<\/a>\u00a0are rather exclusive to the country. Members must be invited, and once approved, pay a fee, provide an address, and use terms like \u201cacquire\u201d instead of \u201csell\u201d or \u201cbuy.\u201d The social club panel will feature dialogue by <a href=\"\/drdina-interview\/\">Dr. Dina<\/a>, vice president of operations at P &amp; S Ventures, and David\u00a0Madilyan, creator of HQ, one of Barcelona\u2019s most popular social clubs. Discussions will focus on Spain\u2019s social club culture, how it compares to dispensaries in the U.S. or coffee shops in Amsterdam and whether or not the model could be successful elsewhere.<\/p>\n<p>Madilyan\u00a0said that<br \/>\ndespite the fact that the commercialization of cannabis is illegal in Spain,<br \/>\ncompanies like his can exist because \u201cprivate consumption isn\u00b4t penalized and<br \/>\nthe right to associate is constitutionally guaranteed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe cannabis club model is<br \/>\nnot like the coffee shop system in Amsterdam or some dispensaries in the<br \/>\nU.S.\u00a0where\u00a0tourists or unidentified strangers buy or consume and<br \/>\nleave,\u201d he said. \u201cIt is not about mass consumption. This model is not meant to reach<br \/>\nout to strangers; it is about creating a special unique community; it is about<br \/>\nbelonging and growing together.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Spannabis, otherwise known as<a href=\"http:\/\/www.spannabis.com\/group\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u00a0Feria del C\u00e1\u00f1amo<\/a>, is celebrating its 16th year of operation. The annual event gathers more than 30,000 attendees and represents more than 300 companies. The fair features music, booths and networking opportunities throughout the weekend.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFeria del C\u00e1\u00f1amo\u00a0[\u2026] is much more than just a fair,\u201d Carlos Yerbes Gonzalez, co-director of Spannabis said in a recent<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/markets.businessinsider.com\/news\/stocks\/save-the-date-march-14-2019-the-icbc-heads-to-barcelona-spain-joining-forces-with-spannabis-to-form-an-epic-international-superconference-1027374873\" target=\"_blank\">\u00a0press release<\/a>. The conference has positioned the country as a leader in the cannabis market. \u201cThe Spanish cannabis industry has more potential every day, and is taking firm steps to improve Spain\u2019s laws,\u201d he added. \u201cSpannabis organizers believe that the time is right to offer reliable information on the economic potential of the cannabis sector and the viability that Spain would have to become one of the key countries in Europe.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In order to solidify that<br \/>\nposition, \u201cWe needed to collaborate with a leading company in the cannabis<br \/>\nbusiness sector,\u201d Gonzalez added. With their knowledge and existing presence in<br \/>\nthe European market, ICBC was the perfect match.<\/p>\n<p>The ICBC hosts events in<br \/>\ncities around the world, including San Francisco, Berlin, Vancouver, and Zurich<br \/>\nevery year.
