But contrary to what many people think, cannabis is still illegal in the Netherlands. Will the Dutch learn from Canada\u2019s cannabis legalization?<\/p>\n<h2>The\u00a0Netherlands to learn from Canada\u2019s cannabis legalization?<\/h2>\n<p>\u201cDo not try it at all!\u201d Dutch Prime Minister Rutte told Canadian high school students earlier this week while asked about cannabis during his state visit to Canada.<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 720px\" class=\"wp-video\"><!--[if lt IE 9]&gt;document.createElement('video');&lt;![endif]--><br \/>\n<video class=\"wp-video-shortcode\" id=\"video-2186-1\" width=\"720\" height=\"480\" preload=\"metadata\" controls=\"controls\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cannabisnewsnetwork.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/Rutte-Do-not-do-drugs-1.mp4\">https:\/\/www.cannabisnewsnetwork.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/Rutte-Do-not-do-drugs-1.mp4<\/a><\/video><\/div>\n<p>Meanwhile, the war on growers has intensified in the Netherlands. For example,\u00a0 in the North of The Netherlands police raided 112 addresses in 1 week and 81 times they didn\u2019t find anything. We recently reported from one of these raids, which happened in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cannabisnewsnetwork.com\/the-big-raid-on-little-rohel\/\">little town of Rohel<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\nFurthermore, Rutte went on to say: \u201c95% of cannabis grown in the Netherlands goes to other European countries.\u201d<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 720px\" class=\"wp-video\"><video class=\"wp-video-shortcode\" id=\"video-2186-2\" width=\"720\" height=\"480\" preload=\"metadata\" controls=\"controls\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cannabisnewsnetwork.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/95-naar-buitenland-Rutte-1.mp4\">https:\/\/www.cannabisnewsnetwork.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/95-naar-buitenland-Rutte-1.mp4<\/a><\/video><\/div>\n<p>This is particularly false. Instead, coffeeshops can barely keep up with demand and cannabis is now been smuggled and illegally imported into the Netherlands from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cannabisnewsnetwork.com\/tag\/spain\/\">Spain<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cannabisnewsnetwork.com\/tag\/poland\/\">Poland<\/a>, and even the United States and Canada.<\/p>\n<p>This was debunked earlier already by International Cannabis News (ICN):<\/p>\n<p \/>\n<h2>Canada\u2019s cannabis legalization is more like legalization 1.0<\/h2>\n<p>While there are certainly things to learn from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cannabisnewsnetwork.com\/legal-cannabis-in-canada-legalization-1-0\/\">Canada<\/a>, their way of legalizing cannabis isn\u2019t perfect either.
