Canadian seed-to-sale software company Trellis has raised $2 million in a funding round led by Case Verde Capital, the marijuana-focused venture capital firm run by a team that includes rapper Snoop Dogg.<\/p>\n
The Toronto-based software provider, which launched in 2014 and now has customers in California and Canada, said in a news release that it will use the funding to expand into additional U.S. markets and grow its overall business.<\/p>\n
Aside from Casa Verde, cannabis incubator Gateway as well as Argonautic Ventures and One Gun participated in funding round.<\/p>\n
The announcement comes as competition heats up in the seed-to-sale software<\/p>\n
